Weather alert for Tuesday, Jan. 21: Move to eLearning, after-school/evening activities canceled except for board meeting
Our district is temporarily moving to eLearning tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 21, because of the extreme cold expected during arrival time that the National Weather Service strongly suggests our community avoid for safety reasons. This means students, kindergarten through grade 12, will stay home and use their school-provided device to learn. Your child’s teacher(s) will connect with your family on further details soon.
District programming has been canceled as part of the temporary move to eLearning. This includes Kidstop and Four Star Express programs, as well as early childhood/preschool. All after-school/evening activities are also canceled except for the school board meeting, which will take place as planned at 6 p.m. tomorrow.
Unless notified otherwise, students will be expected to attend school in person Wednesday, Jan. 22 as planned. Stay tuned to district279.org for the latest information. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility with this news.
